My watercolor journey began during the COVID-19 Pandemic. In 2020, I inherited my aunt’s watercolor supplies; I have always been “artsy” but had never experimented with watercolor.
Through online classes, YouTube videos, and books, I discovered the magic of watercolor. I am fascinated with the relationship of the flow of pigments on the paper, the layering of colors, and the planning that is required before putting a brush to the paper. I love getting lost in the details. My paintings run the gamut of subject matter. Light and shadows, reflections, nature, still-life, birds and animals, are all subjects that I find fascinating and challenging. The most fun for me is wondering how to approach a painting then executing the plan. I am a self-taught artist.
