Artist’s Bio: My name is Karen Hilliard and I have a Bachelor’s in Art from San Francisco State with an emphasis on painting and drawing. I am fascinated by watercolor among the many mediums to choose from. I thoroughly enjoy how the colors blend and bleed together to create movement in each piece. Each large watercolor takes me many weeks or months to create. My watercolor paintings require a lot of layers and intricate details, so drying time is very important. My main inspiration comes from nature and what I see in the intricacies of rocks and trees. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
