Artists Bio:

I began painting and drawing as a child and have worked many different media. In recent years, I have settled on watercolor and acrylic as my primary means of expression.
The paintings on this page are part of two ongoing series of work. One series explores the oddly wonderful shapes found on the surface of water. Reflections are particularly intriguing in that they distort the shapes of solid objects into wild, broken patterns. Some were inspired by the magnificent Lake Champlain. Others are views of the Bellows Falls area, including the Canal and the Connecticut River.
The second series deals with old falling apart buildings because they allow me to explore a wide variety of textures.
My work ranges in size from murals to miniatures. I recently completed a large mural in Milton, Vermont.
I currently teach drawing, painting, design and art history classes at Community College of Vermont and give private lessons in my studio.
I am represented by the Canal Street Art Gallery in Bellows Falls, Vermont and the Main Street Gallery in Windsor, Vermont.
