Artists Bio:

Art offers the mere mortal a way to conquer time. My work allows me to share with my audience the magic I find while exploring nature, every landscape a portrait of the spirit of the place. Most illustrate a special experience or something I witnessed. To me, the background is of equal importance as the main subject and my education in botany helps me translate the scientific details. I intentionally seek a seamless look devoid of brush strokes, so as not to break the illusion. I also love artwork that looks just as good up close as from across the room. The name of my business commemorates both my time on the Appalachian and Long Trails, and the essence of all those who, through synchronicity, have helped me on my journey through life.
I have lived off grid for decades deep in the forests of Vermont that I love, with my spouse and animal companions. I have been showing my art and photography through area galleries, juried shows and markets since 2007, and have a line of popular greeting cards and prints under Trail Magic Studio.
