Artists Bio: Abigail Bartell is a native Vermonter residing in the Northeast Kingdom and has been making art for as long as she can remember. She works in watercolor and gouache, bookmaking, collage, bike tubes, graphic design, and occasionally sculpture. Abigail received her BA in Art Education from Johnson State College (now Northern Vermont University), and her MA in Art and Design Education from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has been teaching fine art to middle and high school students in Danville, Vermont for the past 14 years.

Abigail’s style combines her love of drawing and painting with a deep appreciation of the whimsical and quirky, and she loves to cause curious confusion with her art. Her art business, Abigail Bartell Art, offers original art, graphic design, original prints, one-of-a-kind bike tube jewelry, and commission work, including personalized location and interest “maps.”

Abigail has been a member of the Vermont Art Educators Association since 2007 in various positions including President, Treasurer, Youth Art Month Chair, and Event Chair. She is a proud member of The Vermont Watercolor Society and the No Such Thing as Too Much Art Society.
